What's Next for Mac Jones if Things Don't Work Out with the Patriots? What?

Mac Jones is entering his third year in the NFL. Why are we already talking about him leaving the Patriots?

Believe it or not, publications like Musket Fire are already discussing where Mac Jones could land if things don't work out with the New England Patriots. I'm not the biggest Mac Jones fan, but even I know that it's too early to plan his departure from the team. Let's take a step back and give the kid a chance to try and prove the critics wrong.

Let's start by acknowledging that Mac Jones is not Tom Brady. He doesn't have the experience or the skill set of the greatest quarterback to ever play the game, and it's unfair to compare Jones to Brady. However, that doesn't mean he can't be a good quarterback in his own right. Jones showed a lot of promise during his rookie season with the Patriots. Sure, his sophomore season sucked, but that's not uncommon for a quarterback in the NFL.

Now, some fans and publications are already discussing where Jones could land if things don't work out with the Patriots. That's just ridiculous. Jones is only entering his third season in the league, and he has shown a lot of potential. The Patriots have invested a lot in him, and they believe he can be their franchise quarterback for years to come. It's too early to give up on him and start planning his departure.

One thing that's important to remember is that Jones is not a finished product. He still has a lot of room to grow and develop as a quarterback. With the right coaching and guidance, he could become a very good quarterback in the NFL. But that's going to take time and patience. We can't expect him to be perfect right away, and we can't give up on him if he has a few bad games.
